There is a chill in the air, and the calendar is proclaiming the end of summer and the official beginning of the Fall season leading up to winter.

Sigh, where does the time go?

I can still remember the feeling of the heat of the summer sun and the warm water splashing on my feet from my recent trip to Puerto Vallarta Mexico! Truly a heavenly experience! In case you missed it here’s a link to the article about my delightful stay at the all-inclusive, exclusive, adults only resort – Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway.

Now is the time to start planning that trip to Puerto Vallarta

Playa Los Muertos Puerto Vallarta

Of course, it goes without saying that any trip to Puerto Vallarta involves time spent in the sun on the beach but don’t limit yourself to just lounging poolside or playing in the sand at Playa Los Muertos!

There are a tonne of other things to do in this fabulous city that is a little more “active” that you should check out while you are in town.

Eating for one!

Puerto Vallarta Taco Tour - Baja Taco

I thoroughly enjoyed myself (and an amazing Baja Taco) when I participated in a Taco Tour through the streets of Puerto Vallarta and ate locally for an entire evening. I learned about the various types of Tacos and what makes each one authentic and unique, I walked through neighbourhoods and played local, filling my belly with lots of good eats, drinks and culture along the way. A special must-do tour if you love experiencing local cuisine.

Lemon Grass Tea Botanical Gardens Puerto Vallarta

Remember to take a break and breathe in the freshness while strolling through the botanical gardens at Jardín Botánico De Vallarta. They serve a very refreshing lemongrass tea grown and harvested right on the property, and the view from the restaurant of the hillside is so lovely and perfect to spend a day.

Speaking of the restaurant with a view; here’s a little teaser of what COULD be in store for you if you choose to dine at the Vista Grill. Romantic dinner anyone?

Thinking about spending the holidays in Puerto Vallarta?

From October 28th to November 2nd, Puerto Vallarta celebrates Day of the Dead festivities across the entire city. This annual celebration is sure to be the most colourful of affairs with parades and events happening daily.

Christmas and New Years festivities are grand celebrations with bright, colourful clothing, music and pinatas at Our Lady of Guadalupe church and fireworks, dancing and lively music along the Malécon promenade.

Need more convincing?

Here are just a few little tidbits why you need to plan a trip to Puerto Vallarta soon!

Puerto Vallarta is truly a world-class tourist destination, and winter is the perfect time to visit for sun, fun, culture, food and warm, welcoming people.
